About Us
It began with a dream and a meeting over coffee! We have taken our time to open RFPT to make sure your experience is filled with warm, compassionate, caring people throughout your experience - from the initial phone call to the actual therapy and throughout the billing process.
Rainier Family Physical Therapy is comprised of caring and compassionate physical therapists, front office staff and billing personnel who look forward to helping and guiding you through your rehabilitation process!

KIM BISSON, MPT
Kim graduated from University of Mary in Bismarck, ND in May 1998. She worked for six years for Good Samaritan Hospital out-patient Physical Therapy on South Hill. In 2005, she accepted a position with Physiotherapy Associates and worked there until recently. She has spent the past 10 years working with a variety of patients in the orthopedic arena and has developed a personalized treatment approach to address the individual healthcare needs of her patients.
Kim and her husband have lived in the Puyallup area since 1998. They have three beautiful daughters. Life is kept busy with family, friends, and fitness pursuits.
SUSAN JANKELSON, MSPT
Susan graduated from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in May 2000. She was immediately hired by Apple Physical Therapy in Auburn. After the birth of her first daughter in 2001, Susan wanted to be closer to home and found employment with Physiotherapy Associates in Puyallup where she worked until recently. Her primary focus is the outpatient orthopedic patient of all ages with a focus on manual therapy treatment techniques.
Susan and her husband have lived in the South Hill area since moving here in 1995. They have two beautiful girls, ages 6 and 4. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, running and/or swimming, and volunteering with Canine Companions for Independence by raising dogs to help the disabled or hearing impaired.
Out-patient Orthopedic Physical therapy
Upon entering the warm atmosphere of Rainier Family Physical Therapy, you can anticipate one-on-one treatment from a friendly, licensed physical therapist who genuinely cares about your rehabilitation process.
During your first visit or initial evaluation, you will be with one of our PT's for approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Subsequent follow-up visits will be 45 minutes unless the therapist deems otherwise based on each individual's specific needs for rehabilitation.
Our goal is RESULTS!
