Company History
AAMCO Transmissions of Puget Sound is a family owned and operated franchise business since 1999. Owners, Bob and Sue Leirdahl, opened their first AAMCO in Lakewood with one goal in mind, to give each and every customer excellent customer service along with the quality workmanship by the most experienced technicians in the industry.

After opening their first center in May of 1999, Bob and Sue wanted to further expand their company by opening a second AAMCO Transmissions franchise in Olympia in December of 2000. Their successes in quality care and customer service in the automotive repair industry allowed them to open up their third AAMCO Transmissions franchise in Puyallup in October 2001. Bob and Sue Leirdahl strive to grow their business through community involvement and outreach in the communities where they have established their centers. This community involvement along with an excellent team of employees has allowed Bob and Sue to continue to expand their businesses throughout the Puget Sound area with the final opening of their AAMCO Transmissions franchise in Bremerton in June of 2006.
